What is bespoke?

---

To use the terms "bespoke" and "made-to-measure" interchangeably is incorrect. Bespoke clothing is traditionally cut from a pattern drafted specifically for the customer, and thus differs from ready-to-wear/off-the-rack, which is factory made in standardized sizes, and from made-to-measure, which is made to order from an adjusted pre-existing pattern. The distinguishing characteristics of bespoke tailoring are the client's control over the fabric, features and fit, and the way the garment is made. Bespoke describes a high level of customization and end-user involvement in the production and design of the garment.

Are your garments truly bespoke?

To be clear, we do not adjust pre-made suits, nor do we simply alter stock patterns; our Master Tailors take great care in analyzing your measurements and photographs before hand-cutting each garment to your exact specifications. We also provide a fitting with a tailor after the garments arrive and arrange for any alterations. We include this in the price, of course, because we believe your garment should fit properly.

Can I just send you my measurements?

There are plenty of wonderful companies that offer this kind of made-to-measure service, however, that is not what we do. We have long relationships with our clients because we offer a personalized service. We believe that both being measured professionally by a consultative clothier as well having the ability to see and feel the fabrics options help ensure that all clients love each of their BlackLABL garments. As a client, your measurements are kept on file, which makes new orders easy.

What kind of incentives do you offer for referrals?

We offer two options: We will either compensate you with complementary garments or with a cash incentive. We look at our clients as partners and as partners we value the business you bring to us. Many of our clients have received many complementary garments from the referrals they have provided. If you are interested in hosting an event at your home or office, please let us know.

How does an appointment work? How long does it last?

• An appointment is generally a one-on-one, personalized experience in a convenient place
   for you, such as your home or office, where a clothier will show you our offerings, help
   you choose the best fabrics and styles for your needs, and take your measurements.
• The appointment begins by discussing what you’re looking for. We’ll talk about what’s
   currently in your wardrobe, what you’re looking to purchase and any other additional
   fashion advice you may be interested in. Next, we’ll move onto taking your measurements.
   After we have your measurements, your consultant will walk you through all of the different
   fabric options and fits that we have to offer. If you would like to set up a no-obligation
   appointment, please let us know.

What are the actual prices of the suits?

How are you able to offer such great prices?

In order to offer high-quality, garments at reasonable prices, we maintain a lower cost structure than most other clothiers:
• We have no need to carry inventory of a wide array of sizes that do not fit anyone because
   we sell only custom-made garments;
• We organize sales events in beautiful, functional suites and turn them into a tailor’s shop for
   the day instead of leasing an expensive physical store-front;
• We provide generous referral incentives and rely on our clients’ word-of-mouth
   recommendations for growth rather than traditional advertising media.

What are “downgrades”?

• While we do not nickel and dime our clients for a la carte features, we provide the following
   base price reduction options:
   - Suits & Jackets: standard resin buttons and fused canvas front ($200 reduction)
   - Dress Shirts: standard resin buttons and no hand-stitched monogram ($20 reduction)
• Our straightforward pricing includes any and all features and options.

What is a fused canvas?

---

Every jacket has a full layer of cloth between the outer suiting and the inner lining, which lets the coat keep its shape. In machine-made, "fused" coats, a special synthetic material is used that effectively turns to glue when its heated and fuses to the outer suiting to give the coat its body. With a proper bespoke suit, we use a piece of wool and mohair-based fabric and canvas the suit by hand. And while this technique takes much longer than the standard fused construction found in 98% of suits today, a proper floating canvas construction results in a suit that more naturally drapes the contours of the body. The fit looks more relaxed and elegant without giving up form.

How long will it take to receive the final product?

Your purchase is ready for your first fitting 5-7 weeks after you place the order (we also offer 2-3 week express service for a nominal fee). We will contact you personally to set up a time for us to come to you for your fitting. You will try on your garments in front of your consultant. If your garments require any tweaking we will have the alterations done at no cost to you. Alterations typically take 7-10 days to complete. This is all part of the bespoke tailoring experience. We will ensure that your garments are the perfect fit.

What is your return policy?

Payment in full is taken upfront. Due to the fact that each garment is custom made to your specifications, there are no returns, all sales are final. However, your satisfaction is of the up most importance to us and it is our mission to make you happy. We will make any alteration to the fit of the clothing, at no cost to you, in order to ensure your satisfaction and a perfect fit.
